PROFESSIONAL BIO

I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology at Naropa University. My aspiration for being an innovative and mindful therapist stems from my life’s journey, love for service, and the human experience. The essence of my approach is a transpersonal one, which is a holistic view of the present conditioning of this ever-unfolding phenomenon called the human, manifesting itself naturally and effortlessly through the power of now during any given therapeutic session.

Thus all past and present traumas, pains and sufferings gradually find their way from the unconscious to the conscious. It is here where one gets the chance to start the process of change. Michelangelo, referring to his renowned statue of David said, “I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.” I consider this process sacred and look forward with excitement and curiosity to sharing this organic unfolding of life on this journey with others.

In working with individuals, couples, and groups, my approach is informed by experiential psychotherapy, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Hakomi Therapy, and Mindfulness-based psychotherapy. Furthermore, I draw from my twenty-two years experience with meditation and mindfulness practices and my experiences as a teacher, mentor, and a filmmaker.
