PROFESSIONAL BIO
I am a Counseling Intern at Noeticus and have been in the Contemplative Psychotherapy program at Naropa University since 2008. I have a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Social and Economic Development, where I worked with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations and gender expressions, and interests toward developing their own social and economic resources. Additionally, I have clinical experience working with individuals in crisis, various stages of transformation, and the subsequent serenity which often rises out of deep personal work. My therapeutic work is especially informed by my background in meditation, yoga, and various other mindfulness practices.
My approach to therapy is integrative, combining various theories, practices, and perspectives in order to best meet your needs. I bring a mindfulness-based, person-centered perspective to witness and highlight your accomplishments and strengths, hear your needs and ideas for change, and create a place for you to work toward your goals. With an awareness of the impact of the societal and systemic contexts in which we live, I assist in the process of authentically recognizing the present moment, discovering what may be blocking the experience of healing, and supporting the remembering of essential health and wholeness.
