PROFESSIONAL BIO

I am currently pursuing a masters degree from University of Colorado Denver, specializing in couples and family therapy. I have a bachelor of applied arts degree in outdoor and environmental recreation from Central Michigan University. My background includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and groups. My experience in residential and clinical settings includes working with adolescents struggling with learning differences and behavioral concerns, adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and couples addressing concerns in their relationships.

I believe counseling provides an opportunity to attend to areas of distress, both in relationships and in individual experience. As a counselor, I draw from person-centered, experiential, strengths-based, and systems models to create a healing space for people to explore their perceptions, increase awareness, and create a better understanding of their experience in order to live from a place of authenticity.
